My interest in art goes back to my childhood when I attended weekend "art lessons," and my enthusiasm continued through high school and at Pomona College and U.C. Berkeley. Besides drawing and painting and collage, I have worked in ceramics, mosaics, weaving and other fiber arts, and photography. Locally I have studied with a number of teachers - including Judy Greenberg, Kathleen Brennan, Ann Baldwin and Marianne Brown. Participation in workshops has been very helpful to me. Observing how other artists work, their styles and techniques and how they solve the problems, has helped to expand my own repertoire. AFFILIATIONS I belong to two local artists' associations: The California Watercolor Association and the Marin Society of Artists. Both of these groups have regular juried exhibitions and I participate in about a dozen shows a year in different locales. MSA has a rental gallery where my work is rented frequently. I particularly enjoy helping to install the regular monthly shows at MSA -- that is another source of inspiration for me.
